Dev, I know how excited you will be with kutti going
to school for the first time. Take some nice snaps of her
    for remembrance.
I will normally do a sweet ponggal, have a prayer in the morning
before sending them for the first time to school.

Dev, try out the bottle gourd urad dal kutoo.
Just get ready everything dump them in a pressure cooker,
you are done. That easy. Take care, Kugan98

Thanks Suvai, as for your veeveekam, my aunt gave me two ways to do it.
One is to use just the idlli flour, add sugar, then steam with the moong dal and coconut.

The other is to grind the iddli flour with little moomg dal, then add sugar and things.
I am posting the second method for you.
Today, I am making cashew nuts banana muffin for the children.
    Thanks and take care, Kugan98

    Sweet idlli ( veeveekam) kugan

Here Suvai, hope this is the recipe you are looking for.
    Thanks, Kugan98.

    SWEET IDLLI (VEEVEEKAM)

    Ingredients:

    1 cup raw rice
    ½ cup urad dal
    ¼ cup moong dal
1 cup jiggery or more to taste
    ½ tsp cardamom powder
3 tbs roasted moong dal, boil till half cooked, drain.
    ¼ cup grated coconut
    ¼ tsp salt
    2 tbs ghee

    Method:
Soak the rice and two dals over night.
Grind it next morning to a smooth thick batter.
Add the ¼ tsp salt mix well and allow to ferment .

Now dissolve the jiggery in ¼ cup of water, allow to boil.
Filter and add in the cardamom powder.
Now add in the syrup to the fermented batter.
Add also half of the boiled moong dal into the batter.

Grease the idlli plates with the ghee.
Pour in the batter, sprinkle little coconut and the boiled dal,
on each idlli. Now steam it in a idlli cooker for about 15 minutes.
Remove the iddli from the steam and serve hot
