yes here everybody is in shock after hearing chitra's news. here she came for a programme. i thought i will go for that. but after hearing that i cancelled.
here everybody is shocked, we got the news immediately.
let us pray for the little angel and an extraordinary strength for chitra.

Dev,need a small help,kuganka has posted zuchini kuruma long back.
I need the recipe
i was not able to locate it.can u help me in this?

Aarthii, I couldn't locate the zuchini kurma recipe... all I could find was one of Suvai's recipe...
Kootu With Chow Chow (suvai)
Suvai's kuotu
kootu with chow chow & zucchini:
4 to 5 Tblspn masoor dal
3 Tblspn of moong dal
wash these well & add enough water to boil it...let it boil for about 4 mins now add cut washed chow chow / zucchini / one tomato/ green chillies chopped/curry leaves...now cover & cook on lower than medium heat...till the dals cook well....now add chopped coriander leaves.....to season it use one tsp oil...little mustard seeds & jeeragam...thalaila kotidunga.. yr dal is done.....this is very good with rice & chapathi....enjoy

Simple Zuchini Subji (suvai)
Iniki oru simple side dish panninen here it is:
zuchini - small ones 2 halved & cut into reasonable bite size
1 big juicy tomato chopped small one
2 green chillies or one according to yr taste
little corriander & karuvepilai chopped
1 garlic pod sliced
1 onion (small one is enough) diced
two pinches of garam masala (kissan)
(Only in medium fire ) In a kadaai...add 1 & a half tsp of oil, when hot add two pinches of jeeragam, to this add diced onions & green chillies..garlic.stir till onion is limp....now add tomatoes & a pinch of turmeric.......fry this for a bit now add in the bite size zuchini stir well /add salt & cover & cook till the tomatoes are well mashed & the zuchini is cooked....once this is done....stir it..kaai onnum paathiyaai irukanum....put off the fire....add in the two pinches of garam masala stir add in the corriander & karuveppilai (chopped) stir it goes well with chapathi or even little white rice or brown rice...
I am sure a few of u already know about this side dish....... maybe some can try this for a varied taste....enjoy!

Aarthii, some more zuchini recipes I found...
Selviem this is how you cook basic couscous.
1 cup couscous
1/4 tsp ghee or oil
1 1/4 cups of water
a pinch of salt.
Method;
Heat water in a small pan, when it comes to boil,
add the salt and ghee.
add also the couscous and cook on a very slow fire
for few minutes.
Turn off the heat, cover the pan nicely, let it stand to
cool slightly.
Fluff up the couscous and spread on a plate.
Selviem now you can add grated carrots, thinly cut capscium,
sliced onions, chopped zucchini, chopped coriander leaves,
lemon juice, and any vege of your choice and make a salad.
For kitchadi you add the necessary things and cook like upma.
