Yes Usha. That movie I think was dubbed in Tamil. It also has another song, 'raave mohini' which was probably more popular in Tamil.

From movie Deepam - poovizhi vaasalil yaaradi vandhadhu kiLiye kiLiye -
kannadasan's poetic spate of creativity starts flowing right from the opening lines.
and the young prince[our Raja] begins with a very joyful violins and flute welcome.
3 magnificent interludes, the first with accordion and flute highlight, the middle one
, my most fav with guitar and solo flute playlng prominent
and the last interlude an absolute riot doled out generously without our asking.
This song has NO MSV influence contrary to what some assume,
but has some mid 70's mallu feel of Devarajan/Salilda . Yesudoss and SJ's "anubhava suhagalai" kind of
enunciation also add to the flavour

Should probably do that for Malayalam and Kannada where the number of movies is less. The number of Telugu movies is quite high and for Tamil we anyway have thiraipaadal.

Listening to the 90s Raja today. 'kaiyetha' and 'mandarapoo' from 'Vinodayatra'. Superb.

thumburu: Coincidentally I was listening to another Sivaji - Raja combo: 'sindhu nadhi karaiyoram' today.

மலர் வில்லில் அம்பொன்று விட்டானே தோழி! அழகான ஒரு பூங்கொத்தை வழங்கியிருக்கிறார் ராஜா! ஷ்ரேயா குரல் பாடலுக்கு பக்க பலம். முடியும் தருவாயில் (கடைசி 45 நொடிகள்) இசைக்கப்பட்ட இசைக்கருவிகளையே வைத்தே மொத்தப் பாட்டையும் வடிவமைத்திருந்தால் அராஜகமா இருந்திருக்கும். அப்படி ஒரு எதிர்பார்ப்பை கடைசி 45 நொடிகள் ஏற்படுத்துகிறது எப்போது இந்தப் பாடலைக் கேட்டாலும். ராஜாவின் முத்திரை!
