Eargerly waiting for Suvai's tomato thokku.
I simply love tomato thokku.
I hope I have posted my family's famous tomato thokku
It is loved by all my friends and family.

MOOR RASAM (Kugan)
Dev, I will spare you today from oats torture 
Rose, here is the recipe, hope you like it. Kugan98
MOOR RASAM
Ingredients:
1 litre thin mooru
3 tsp gram flour
Little tumeric powder
2 tsp oil
½ tsp mustard seeds
½ tsp cumin seeds
1 sprig curry leaves
Little asafoetida powder
2 tsp green chillie paste
Little coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Method:
Mix the salt, gram flour and the mooru.
Heat a pan with the oil. Add in the mustard and cumin seeds.
Let them splutter, add in the green chillie paste and curry leaves.
Saute for about 5 seconds. Then add in the asafoetida powder.
Add in the tumeric powder, mix well then add in the mooru mixture.
Cook on medium heat, when it comes to boil, off the stove.
Garnish with the coriander leaves, serve with rice or as a drink.

Kugan, what moor rasam? I have heard of so many rasams. This is the first time hearing about moor rasam. Normally in our house, we only do parrpu rasam and poondu rasam. It is time to try out on different types of rasam.
Let me try this moor rasam first. Gulabjamun.

Moor rasam is new to me...will try it K...
Any idea what "phool makhana" is called in tamil?... I used to get it when in SG... Inge phool makhananu sonna yaarukkum theriya maatengudhu,... lotus seednu ketaalum kidaika maatengudhu... a neighbourhood store guy has promised to get it for me if I can tell them the tamil name...help pls!!!

KEERAI KUZHAMBU (Kugan)
Friends, normally we will make keerai poriyal, kadayal, or with dal.
Try this village style of keerai kuzhambu. Thanks, Kugan98
KEERAI KULAMBU
Ingredients:
250 grms of seeru keerai, cleaned and cut into 1 inch length.
2 tbs cooked moong dal
200 grms chopped onions
200 grms chopped tomatoes
2 tsp chillie powder
3 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp tumeric powder
1 lime sized tamarind, make 2 cups juice
Salt to taste
To Grind:
3 tbs grated coconut
3 green chillies
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp black pepper
To Season:
2 tbs oil
2 sprig curry leaves
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 dried chillies cut into pieces
Little asafoetida powder
Little cut coriander leaves.
Method:
Heat oil in a pot, add in the seasonings. Add in the onions.
Saute well till lightly brown. Add in the tomatoes, chillie powder,
coriander powder, tumeric powder, salt and the cooked moong dal.
Mix well, add in the cut keerai and 2 cups of tamarind juice.
Cook on medium heat untill the keerai is cooked.
When the gravy boils add in the ground paste, and mix well.
Let it boil for a minute, remove and add the cut coriander leaves.
Note: You can use, ara keerai, or any of your choice.
Do not use pasala keerai.
