    awesome oats pongal and uppma. picture of pongal is tempting too much. will try.

    also, made oats dosa, it came out nicely. i used wheat flour instead of plain flour, good taste.

    wow, channa masala and red kuruma was also too tempting. will try one by one.

    Also, i booked tickets for 2nd july. exams are going on for kids. so at present going behind, exams are getting over by 23rd of this month, then i can think about my vacation.

    really waiting for the vacation. What's ur plan kugan?

    I am glad that you tried oats dosai. I also made oats chapathi.
    Glad that you will be trying out the the other oats recipes.

    Here in Malaysia exams are over.

    No plans Selviem, I had to cancel my plans of going to India in June.
    I wanted to go to my nephew's wedding which is on the 6th of June.
    He is the son of playback singer Siva Sithambaram, and grandson of the late
    "Padmashri Dr. Seerkhazi Govindarajan.

    I had to cancel my plans as my co-sister's brother too is getting married on the same day in Malaysia.

    MEAL MAKER SUKKA (Kugan)

    Try this dish, you can even make it with mutton.
    Kugan98


    MEAL MAKER SUKKA

    Ingrediants:

    2 cups soya chunks
    3 pips garlic smashed
    1 inch ginger piece smashed
    salt

    For Marination:

    1 tsp red chilli powder
    ½ tsp turmeric powder
    1 tsp pepper powder
    ½ tsp garam masala powder
    3 tbs corn flour
    Salt to taste

    For Masala:

    1 big onion sliced
    1 sprig curry leaves
    2 tsp aniseeds
    2 green chillie sliced
    1 tbs ginger, garlic paste
    2 tsp red chillie powder
    ½ tsp tumeric powder
    ½ tsp pepper powder
    ½ tsp garam masala powder
    1 tbs lemon juice
    4 tbs oil
    Salt to taste

    Method:

    Boil 4 cups of water along with salt, ginger and garlic and bring that to boil.Add in soya chunks and cover the pan.Let it sit for 10 min.Drain it and wash in lots of cold water and squeeze it.Set this aside.

    Mix all the ingredients given for marinate with the soya chunks.
    Heat 2 tbls of oil and sauté the soya chunks for 10 min till golden and crisp.Remove it and set this aside.

    Heat 2 tbls of oil in a wok , add in the aniseeds and curry leaves ..Add in onion and fry till golden.
    Add green chilli and ginger garlic paste and mix well.Add in pepper,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,garam masala powder and mix well.Season with salt to taste.
    Pour in a little of water and mix well. Add in the fried soya chunks and mix well.

    Cover the pan and let it simmer for 10 min.Add in lemon juice and mix well.
    Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.

    PINEAPPLE RELISH (Kugan)

    A very good combo for flavoured rices. Kugan98

    PINEAPPLE RELISH

    Ingredients:

    5 cups of chopped pineapple pieces
    1 tsp oil
    1 tsp mixed, mustard, funugreek, cumin, aniseeds and nigella
    3 dried chillies, cut into pieces and seeded

    ¼ cup of sugar
    ½ cup of water

    ½ tbs grated ginger
    Salt to taste
    1 tsp lime juice

    To Roast And Powder:
    1 tsp coriander seeds
    ¼ tsp cumin seeds
    1 tsp pepper corns
    Few funugreek seeds

    2 tsp red chillie powder

    Method:
    Heat oil in a pan, add in mixed spices, and the cut red chillies.
    Stir for a second, add in the sugar and water. Let it come to a boil.
    Now add in the chopped pineapple pieces, salt , ginger and lime juice.
    Let it cook till the syrup thickens.

    Now add in the powdered spices, and the chillie powder.
    Mix gently, add salt if needed. Off the stove and remove.
    Good combo for any flavoured rice.

    Any remedy for upside down pictures?
