    SPICY VENDI MASALA (Kugan )

    SPICY VENDI MASALA (NEW )

    Ingredients:

500 grms vendi sliced into ¼ inch in length
    1 tsp oil

    8 dried red chillies soaked
    4 pips garlic

    1 tbs oil
    ½ tsp aniseeds
    1 sprig curry leaves
    4 tbs grated coconut
    150 grms onions chopped
    2 tsp coriander powder
    ¼ tsp tumeric powder
    Salt to taste
    ½ tsp pepper powder

    Method:
Grind the red chillies and garlic to a paste. Keep aside.
Heat 1 tsp oil and shallow fry the vendi to get rid of the slime.

Heat the 1 tbs oil in a wok. Add in the aniseeds and curry leaves.
Add in the grated coconut and saute for a minute.
Add in the chopped onions, and saute well.
Add in the coriander and tumeric powders and salt.

Mix well, add in the chillie paste and fry well till the raw smell goes.
Add in the vendi and stir fry well. Let the spice coat the vendi well.
Lastly add in the pepper powder, mix well and remove.
This is a dry dish. Serve as a side dish or with roti.

Spinach is extremley rich in Iron and Too much iron , can cause problem . So keeping this to a minimal is good

    1) Fruits (avaoid Pinneapple/ papaya) and vegs
    2) Whole grains cereals, red kidney beans
    3) Drink at least 2 ltr of water daily
    4) avoid Tea/coffee /Fizzy drinks
    5) Eat one portion of oily fish and one portion of white fish each week (but avoid shark, swordfish and marlin)
    6) Limit salt intake, salt increases BP, and it may have complications during Labour!

Well, some medical experts say some babies are allergic to peanuts!

Gruch, forgot to add... raisins, walnuts are good too... dates can be had everyday...just 1 or 2 pieces... edhu saapitaalum moderation thaan thumbrule... maththapadi she can eat eat almost all stuffs she is used to eating regularly...

Pls ask her to be active throughout pregnancy unless the doc advises otherwise...if she is used to walking/swimming or any other light exercise ask her to continue with it after consulting her gyne...it definitely helps reduce most physical discomforts that ppl experience during pregnancy...also, whenever possible ask her to sit on the floor with her legs folded(the traditional Indian style)... ask her to talk a lot to the kid(not loud though )... and if the mother is less stressed and has a peaceful state of mind, they say the kid will be more calm after birth...listening music helps... there are songs/music especially to be heard during preg...you'll be surprised to c the kid respond to the music ur wife was listening to thru her preg...
