Not decided about Vadivelu in 'Rana': KS

Director K S Ravikumar has said that no decision on roping in Vadivelu for 'Rana', his forthcoming film with Superstar Rajinikanth, had been taken and things would be finalised only after Rajini is back from Singapore.

The 'Muthu' and 'Padayappa' director was reacting to reports appeared in a section of the media, claiming that Rajini wants to have Vadivelu in the project, as he would like to give a fresh lease of life to the comedian, who is suffering for his 'comments' in the campaign during the Assembly polls.

"We all are waiting for the Superstar to come to India. His health is the first and foremost priority. We will decide on Rana only after he is back. As of now, Rajini and Deepika alone have been confirmed for the film," he said.

Reassuring that the project is very much on, Ravikumar added: "Rajini is very interested to restart 'Rana'. It is his ambitious film and it is going to be a real treat to all his fans. I may visit him in Singapore soon."

…When we were shooting at Bharath Engineering College last week, I got a call from Singapore… I thought it must be some relatives or fans… Then I thought may be Rajini sir… Yes… It was him only… I was surprised and happy to hear from him… Ubhayakusalobhari!!! (UBKS)… etc … He was sounding like before… Brisk and energetic… He told he will be back after 45 days taking a complete rest…

Awards and accolades continue to chase Superstar Rajinikanth-starrer 'Enthiran', Tamil cinema's biggest blockbuster in 2010. On Sunday, the Shankar directed film won three honours at the 12th International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) in Toronto.

The science-fiction mega-budget venture produced by Sun Pictures won awards in art di...rection (Sabu Cyril), special effects (Indian Artists) and make-up (Banu) categories. Incidentally, Sabu Cyril won the same award at IIFA 2010 as well.
