Do you know what was the yAdOn ki bArAth equivalent of 'ennai vittAl yArumillai'? Was it 'Oh mEri Soni, mEri tamannA' or 'churA liyA hai?'

nALai namathE had another KJY number, a nice duet with PS - 'kAdhal enbadhu kAviyamAnAl kadhA nAyakan vENdum'.

Accordingly, these two KJY numbers are the equivalents for those two YKB duets mentioned above IIRC.

Regarding Nalai Namathe those two are the best songs. Title song was so and so, and then there was Nan Oru Medai Padagan, that even my hardcore MGR fan dad makes fun off (the Inglis especially).

Oh Meri Sony came out as காதல் என்பது காவியமானால் கதாநாயகன் வேண்டும். என்னை விட்டால் யாருமில்லை, கண்மணியே உன் கை அணைக்க is the song in the closed room and my vague memory says that the Hindi song would be like Kamre mein ----.[Not sure]

App is correct. I would tell the reason for your confusion. The MGR character would drive cars in a rash manner and would cause the death of a child(?) and later when he leaves his home to repent his mistake, he would participate in a bike race to win prize money for the affected family. That's the reason for the confusion.

Wonder anyone has "Oorukkum Vetkamillai" youtube or other links. Fantastic writing by Kannadhasan (I think, sounds so much like him because he ends the second charanam with Kadavulukkum Vetkamillai ) and cynical style of singing by KJY.
