In the mid-90s, I remember Anu Malik saying in one interview that Mukkala was nothing but pyaar hua ikraar hua from Shree 420. He sang the two pallavis one after another and they did sound similar. But then life later thought me the lesson that whatever Anu Malik sings, they all sound like the same tune
