    Idhu telecast Agi mudinju pOchA? Miss my Malayalam channel watching - work days are longer and I came home day before only in time for the super-mediocre Vijay TV Super Singer, being inexplicably praised to heavens in another part of this forum.

    KV/Plum, you are right. I was thoroughly disappointed with Vijay-Airtel finale. There was no IR songs, only 2 carnatic songs, both from Thiruvilayadal. Rest was all 'aracha-maavu-arachified' from Vinnai Thandi.., Ravana, Alaipayudhe, etc.

    Thanks a lot crvenky for posting the ISS final links. Truly a majestic final. Both performing extremely well. Highly talented girls. Excellent song selections for the final. Mrudula's isai arasi is truly an exceptional performance. Kalpana always tells that she wants to sing for IR and I think through her final performance he again indirectly pleads IR. Thoroughly deserving!

    Oh my god! What a knowledge! That too the first singer, Kalpana - what a creativity to the idea of singing the bass lines of those track! May i ask if Kerala is much more musically talented than TN in some aspects? Lots of talented singers, and very rare to see a singer choosing a complex western classical track for the live finals. and the crowd enjoyed well.. Vijay Tv ellaam jujubiyaa theriyuthu ithukku munnaadi!

    Added to that, see the seat arrangement, just plastic chairs for even Guests like Jesudas! No bandhaa! But rich in content and price amount! No vetti bandhaa like Vijay TV.

    TN shows la paada vaaippe illaatha classics ellaam thedi pidichi paadraanga pola keralaavila...

    Vijay TV producers would have never allowed, not well known Raaja song for sure.
    Dont forget the orchestration, without that such a rendition is possible?!.
    Have seen Kalpana in some Tamil shows, could not beleive it was the same person.

    Do you mean Oorvashi's akkA (who plays w/o KBR in chinna veedu)? That is a different Kalpana. This one is a wannabe playback singer (who even had a few chances in movie playback singing but didn't make it big. Much like her dad who tried to become a MD but couldn't succeed but ended up doing minor roles on screen).

    app - Kalpana has been doing rounds in many music shows and other TV shows. So he is probably referring to the right person.
