Its not only about trusting or not trusting the people who are giving the figures (BO collection figures). As TM quoted, if we apply our very basic sense we could figure it out whether its possible or not. Mankatha's collection will be anywhere between 70 to 80 crores, that too we were able to get these details after one month.

Its something new that "producers" revealing the collection so soon,as someone told here it is giant sized ego that releasing figures like this, a cheap tricks for post release promotions.

CBO - 2.5C
UK - 1C
US - 1C
My - 5Cr
Other overseas - 4Cr
kerala,karnataka - 3Cr

so both movies should have been collected around 25 crores in 300-400 screens in tamilnadu

p.s. Enthiran the solo release and the biggest release of tamil cinema said to be collected around 30 crores in its first week.

So if 3 big movies released 120cr, if 4 big movies 160 cr and so on. Ennai kodumai logic ithu.

Let me take CBO For example, if we go by today's sify cbo report,

7aum Arivu ( incuding Oct 25 Matinee shows) - Rs 2.35 Crore
Velayudham - Rs 2.10 Crore

ie from 26 to 30 both movies collected almost equal in CBO. But Ezham arivu released in more screens and big screens (except sathyam) with more special shows. Going by any logic both movies getting the same collection in first five days is impossible in reality.
