Ammaadi Konja Naeram is another of those fine songs that is not familiar to many TFM listeners.
For every Azhagae-this and Megame-that by VJ (classics, no doubt) there are a host of solos that are superb, but never quite found the airtime/recognition.
Tharavaa Naan Tharavaa, Mazhaikkala Megam Neer Kondu Vandhu, Indru Varum Kaatrinile Enna Visaesham, Saramsaramaai Shenbagapoo, Gokula Kannan Nee Endru, Ennedru Solvaenadi, Ungal Paadhaththil Indha Naeraththil...
All of the above were just as rich in bhaavam and nuance as the other celebrated solos.

Thanks again for mentioning about .. Naakula mukulaa song ... I saw a programme n Doordharshan .. where Ganesh was explaining about the rhythm of that song...
Nee ilaamalay eni en vaayvilay .. oru thirunaalayum ... etc.

Hello Sharadhajii,

One lovely song of VJ with SPB....

SAPTHASWARAM PUNAGAYIL KANDEN..... SANGEETHATHIN THALLATAI KETEN.....

It was composed by V.Kumar the great in I think...

VJ was at her best in that song..... especially as she ends the song..

I also heared that song many times, but not sure whose music it is.

But there is a similar song in Shivaji's 'Raththa Paasam' movie by MSV:

"Poo manakkum ... poonguzhali.... Poojai dhevadhaiyo".... in the honey voice of SPB.

In rathapasam...... There are 2 more songs.....

1. Maankutti ipodhu enveetilayyy........ Poor TMS was past his best but tried his best !! nice song
2. En ullam engira vaanathilay.... TMS with PS

Probably the last of the nice songs of TMS ...... This came in 1980 I am not sure....

Sapthaswaram Punnagaiyil Kandaen is from Natakame Ulagam, composed by V.Kumar.

Naana Paaduvadhu Naana is a popular VJ-SPB duet. I, however, like Veenai Sirippu more. VJ's entry in this duet - Vizhiorangal Kathai Paesumo...is scintillating.
