i don't know if it was something to do with the DD relay, but the print looked really muddy and kuppai. Or maybe the movie was some old and unknown one. And if I remember right, he looks a bit young, somewhat like his hero movies. Trust me, unbelievable scene'nga... eppidiyaachu thEdi edukkanam.

As the famous Tamil philosopher Koundamani would say:

    “மூணு வீலும், ஒரு தார்பாலினும் இருந்தா நீ owner-ஆ? படுவா, அப்படினா டாட்டா பிர்லா-வையெல்லாம் என்னடா சொல்லுவீங்க?”

Btw, ningaLLAm indha threadla neRaiya qualification vechurukkinga for annan fandom but I have one qualification which few of you are likely to have - I have watched an aNNan movie as hero FDFS. We achieved this feat on Panam 10-um seyyum, I don't remember the circumstances but I am sure few of you will possess a similar honour. P.s: ofcourse, wasn't an aNNan fan then and it was happenstance that we didn't get tickets for any other movie but then the result matters most no, than intent?

adhellam seri.. do you know why Gounder would have to choose a movie as a hero during that period? I have seen a movie with him as a hero and it is a typical masala film where he fights, sings and does all masalist activities.. Peakkla irundha andha tyathula edhuku hero padam? any external influences? or "annae ivvalavu paniteenga idhaiyum pannidunga" jaalras?

Analysing the recent history of comedian turning into hero, Vadivelu was a perfect match for Imsai Arasan with the comical heroism (ofcourse ILNAzhagapan was the latter category which I have mentioned above"

It is the typical cycle - anyone who gets extremely popular in any front-facing field in TF is catapulted by some typical pazham-thinnu-kottai-pottadhugaL - happened with Nagesh and even Thengai. No surprise there. Typically, they start off with vehicles suiting them - like Panam Paththum Seyyum saw Gounder playing chief protagonist rather than Hero. What happens after that is jaalras usuppethufying for typical hero roles - and money bag producers and financiers are typically suckers for this; somehow they end up backing such vehicles based on the hit status of a movie which wasn't exactly a heroism movie for that actor - and ths goes on until 4-5 flops. PPS was remade in Hindi, btw, with Kader Khan, Anil Kapoor and Jackie Shroff. Adhaiyum naan Delhi-la theatrela pArththen
