Not only Amitabh.. All Bollywood stars / superstars are having membership in social Networking sites.. Do you mean to say they are not considered as "Larger than life" stars?

The easier access to a star, the more two way it goes, the smaller the star becomes.

In my view this is an old theory.. Suited to Rajni / Kamal kind of stars who are acting for 2 or 3 decades. When they were building their fan base they were very much accessible... The current generation of fans(even actors) think the other way.. Fans want to know some details regarding their stars on a regular basis.. Otherwise they are not following that star.

CR, that's the point. Rajini/Kamal don't need to be on twitter to maintain the level of their current star status. Those Bolly starlets ofcourse need the attention to stay in news. Even Amitji, who you'd think doesn't need twitter like R and K, but he needs it. That's why he is a lesser superstar than either R or K. Try telling Northies that, though. Btw, forget R/K, note that even V/S/A/V etc aren't on twitter without compromising much of their popularity. Maybe twitter-litmus for popularity doesn't apply to TN?
