IMHO, I dont think Kamal can be as menancing as Raghuvaran, Rajni, Sathyaraj and Prakashraj alike, it just does not work for him.

Ofcourse RC, infact I have seen SR many times, Alavandhan he was good in that Mottai Getup. But others were not that good. I have seen Most of kamal films .

negative roles which stays put and hence I recall easily

thats all, rest of them comes after second consideration.
Sivakumar in -ve roles , that would have been hilariousHe only suits for soft hearted Character .

If aalavandhan's nandhu isnt menacing enough, I'm not sure what/where your expectations lie.

negative role does not NECESSARILY mean "motta boss" roles or gangster and cheapo villains. Role of avargaL in rajni was a saddistic char. Sivakumar was a selfish char. Negative neverthless. He underplayed his role and definitely convincing. May be since rajni was playing along, sivakumar couldn't shine
somehow "avargaL" is the first movie which I recollect, yeah moondru mudichu was great too. May be I believe real villains are too choclatey and sweet grinning right next to u and doing all possible jobs which motta bosses cannot do
