That statement is self-explanatory. Please go through the previous threads and posts from Plum. To add further, as per BW report, it is just 0.5 crores at chennai box office. Multi starrer + Shankar + remake. ithellam irunthum ivvalavut haanah? (as a response to mani who brought BW report). Ippo neenga BW report neenga paartha naanga poruppaannu ketkaatheenga

Billa 2 might become a superhit blockbuster OR can also become an average. But if it becomes a blockbuster, can you guys compare a film with Chakri vs Shankar (as you mentioned in your argument against solo release and Surya using established directors always). Even then if Billa 2 is lesser, I wouldn't worry. But Shankar kooda vanthaey 0.5 thaan extra naan, enna solla?

You were saying that Nanban didnt surpass Mankatha's collection and now your question is, "only by this much?"...
And regarding your "Shankar kooda vanthey ivvalavu thaanah - Thala itha Venkat prabu va vache pannittaaru", then you are saying all of Shankar's movie can only be toped with his own movies? What happened to his earlier movies which did not have Superstar in it?

There was a twitter update that Mankatha still holds record opening. BM posted sify report on the opening weekend collection. He quoted links from overseas collections. So, my earlier comment is based on the initial reports and opening. I did mention clearly that I have no problem with nanban becoming a hit given WOM it is generating and the logic behind the same
Twitter ah reject panniyachu as a thala fan report. moviecrow rejected. Sify has given two diff reports on nanban 1 about weekend collection and other about opening. Ithellam vachu paartha subjective statement thaan ennodathu. Shankar kooda vanthu ivvalavu thaanah? Read it clearly.
Atha vittutu pona vaaram pesunvangala ippo pesa sollunna enna aartham. Pona vaaram thoongitta iruntheenga. that was a provocation and my reply is for that. Kambila pudichu nadakkura logic ellam thiruppi thiruppi Plum solli iruppaaru. Puriyalenna naan onnu seyya mudiyaathu

Read my previous posts. I wouldn't be surprised if it collects more money given the WOM that rarely happens for your movie.

Logic pathuna posts ellam naanum plummum pottu aluthu pochu. You guys are only picking up selective text within my posts and following it up just for the sake of replying without giving the full context. Have repeatedly seen this with Maniram and not surprising you have done it as well

Nanban has tax free advantage, 6 holidays out of first 11 days run and and shankar's value. Whereas movies like Mankatha, 7am arivu, Velayutham didn't have these many advantages. Having all this advantages (mainly tax benefit) and making 4.95cr is average stuff. Even Velayutham netted 4.36 crore in its 1st week, that made its gross to be around 5.01cr.
And for cbo total collection is concern, Mankatha and 7am arivu netted more than 9crs, means grossed over 10crs. Now its Vijay's turn.
