I will give u all a riddle to solve...sigh.
I saw a then kinnam song around 1.5 years back.
I assume it must be early 80s...or so.
definitely IR type of tune. Situation is a boy (kinda in his late teens with his flimsy moustache), with his friends gang....(probably adored with vesti stuffs) sinigng on a girl who comes to temple. Song has a word or a feel of calling the girl as "devi" or "goddess". Tune was good. I could not recall again . When I heard it in then kinnam, I was pretty sure, it was reasonably hit.

Hero heroine rendu perum romba famous aana mathiri theriyala. Some pre teen boy and girl. Someone find this song for me...sigh.

Could be more specific about the song? Is it a male solo? Do the chorus (the bunch of boys) sing with him and dance as well in the video? What does the girl do when the boy sings about her?

There is one movie which had the teen looking actors acted in the movie. It is 'Anandha gummi'...then again, no other boys come in. But he is not wearing the 'vEshtti' you are talking about.

There are few more songs in my mind, but I don't think those songs belong to teen kids kind of ones. Will keep on trying though...

1. male solo.

2. The boys would be sitting beside the temple premises, open air field. There are trees around.

3. all of them wear vesti AND ANGA-VASTHRAM. typical suman's attire in "sreedevi en vazhvil" .

3. They seem to MOCK PLAY some instruments like thambura ( i think)

4. boys dont sing along. Boys dont dance.

5. girl visits the temple, with 'pavadai thavani' ....The song lyrics address and /or welcome her.

6. color padam thaan not black and white.

7. Not sure if the hero imagines her to dance in his mana kaNN!
