except for the scene when kasthuri dies and chandru barks at his old man, it was not upto his standard... thats why i said before that it did not need a big here or a dual role and any average young actor could have pulled it... namakku unmailayae andha character strong aanadha eludhapattadhunu theriyaadhu... but after kamals performance in that, i came to the idea that, adhukku mela andha characterla onnum illai pola... evlo mudiyumo avlo iluthirukkaar...

Son dad is one simple reason to cast him. That apart, the main reason is Business. The risk attempt is the negative shade in that role but other commercial ingredients made ppl convinced and forget those things. apart, that chandru role demanded only that much na?! Its not meant for a spectacular performance at all. And I very much enjoyed the nakkals, comedy, and lou angle(limited one as its not a lou story, after all). Standards, class acts ellaam othukku vechittu paNNina commercial role athu. Worked well. I find nothing in casting him in that role. Otherwise, the movie would not have reached the commercial success what it got, inspite of the dad role being spectacular.

and thats noway a negative role... andha maadhiri oru velaikkedaikka lanjam vaaanguravanga... andha velaikku vandhadhum thanakku thevai irukko illayo aana lanjam vaangi sign podravanga evlovo peru irukkaanga.. infact 75% of officers are like that... he is another one such average guy with no honest intentions as he thinks that is how the world is and how one can survive... and like a normal guy he romances, has fun etc., avar negative shade'na more than 75% of the people in the world has that negative shade...

But antha maathiri oru role, main lead pannra maathiri general aa kudukka maattaanga illayaa. Shankar films itself eduthuttaalum Heroes ellaarum punitha pasukkaLaagavum, uthamargaLaagavum thaane character fix pannuvaaru?
