There were many avtars of this song also - one from Thambi Pondatti (Tamil) and Shiva Shankar (Telugu).
Tamil version:
Telugu version of the song (Endhirayyo) with Rock'ish type interludes.

Venky,
I love the Telugu version a lot. Superb energy and Swarnalatha. She is superb in this song.

mikka nanRi Nerd!
Especially for the constructive criticism
Yes, me too started feeling uneasy about getting too local on details...though late, will improve on it for the rest of the journey.
With still some more albums in 1989 and another 2-3 strong years, it appears like 365 (one whole year of SPB-IR) may be possible...or, it will be quite close to that.
Translations :
vAy nOkkAn pOyOdO - literally : 'did you go to look at the mouths' (i.e. "eyeing around females?"...vAy-mouth, nOkkAn - to see, pO- go , all Thamizh words only)
chumbichchu mathiyAkki - 'pOdhum pOdhumnu solRa aLavukku muththam koduththAnga' (chumbanam - kiss, mathi - enough)
enthu rasam ee paiyyans - literally : 'what a tasty boys these'
(enthu - what, rasam - taste, ee - these, paiyyans - boys, mark of appreciation for the "sweet-looking" boys, more because of my "Kamal-like-but-6-feet" buddy and not me
also, we both didn't have moustache at that time)

Reminded me of the 'rAsAvE unnai' phrase used with different 'tunes' in three movies (all hits) :
rAsAvE onna nAn eNNiththAn (thanikkAttu rAJA, SPS)
rAsAvE onna nambi intha rOsAppoo irukkudhunga (mudhal mariyAdhai, SJ)
rAsAvE, unnai vida mAttEn (araNmaNaikkiLi, SJ) - recently heard this song and liked it!
