Renowned dialogue writer, producer and director P Kalamani passed away on the 3rd of April, 2012 due to prolonged illness.
Kalamani is known for his dialogue works in director Bharathiraja's super-hit movies like 'Pathinaru Vayadhinilae', 'Mann Vasanai' and director mani Vannan's 'Mudhal Vasantham'.
Kalai Mani has spent over a period of three decades in Tamil film industry and had worked with stars like Vijayakanth, Stahyaraj. The dialogue writer had also produced over a dozen of films and directred a few. Kalai Mani last worked as the dialogue writer for Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 'Kuruvi'.
Kollywood celebrities Goundamani, Vijayakanth, Rekha, Manobala, director AR Murugadoss, Dharani, actor Manoj, Vinu Chakravarthy, Vivek, Pandiarajan and director Saravanan visited his home and paid their last respects.
