Awesome coverage guys.. I cant but help envy all who attended the concert.. Downsides of living in a different country means missing out on many socio-cultural and even family events.
It is a pity that even a person of Anil's caliber missed out on the Fugue thing.. Can't believe that. WCM knowledge in the country seems pretty low. Films songs might have been okay. if they picked out ones to illustrate WCM techniques or WCM/ICM fusion .. Guru songs could have been a great choice.
Again thanks for the coverage, even though I will try to get the DVD and watch .. I will miss meeting you music savvy and friendly people in person.
We need Meetups in different parts of the country/world.

I agree with rajaramsgi. IR might or you might be sure he has flaws..but they pale in comparison to his postive contributions to music and social aspects of life. I am afraid culturally we are instituitionalizing an attitude to bring down high-achievers amongst ourselves (Have you heard of the "indian frogs" story ?). More than 15 years ago I might have been critical of Rahman or Deva or other MDs etc. Today, I have the maturity to appreciate all of them, inspite of my preferences for one particular composer. Let us celebrate the good and talented amongst us and grow and prosper together as a healthy, supportive and nurturing society.
