DEEPIKA GOES CLASSICAL FOR KOCHADAIYAAN

The buzz around the Rajni starrer Kochadaiyaan never seems to end!

And the fans are just as eager to lap it all up! The latest buzz from the Soundarya camp is that Deepika Padukone, the heroine, has done a classical dance number for the film, during the Kerala shoot recently.

The dance number has been shot jointly with the Superstar himself. What makes it even more interesting is that Bollywood biggie Saroj Khan, the numero uno choreographer from Bollywood, has conceptualized the song which is composed by AR Rahman.

According to media reports, the rehearsals went on for three days and since Dipika is proficient in Bharathanatyam and Kathak, she didn’t have much trouble getting it right.

Said Saroj Khan to the media, ‘I am doing a classical number after a long time and I am thrilled it’s for a Rajni film. Both have put in their heart and soul into the song and the number has come out very well and will be much talked about!”

Kochadaiyaan teaser to be released

Sources say that Superstar Rajinikanth starrring Kochadaiyaan is almost getting ready for its September release. But, it is also heard that the film's teaser is expected to hit the screens within a short period of time.


Post-Production works for the film is going in full swing, also a team has said to come out with a stunning teaser adds sources.


The film has Deepika Padukone as the female lead along with a big star cast which includes Aadhi, Naseer, Sarathkumar, Jackie Shroff, Shobana.


The film is directed by Soundarya Ashwin and has music by AR Rahman.

Deepika Padukone gets romantic with 'Reluctant' Rajinikanth

Earlier this week Deepika Padukone flew to Chennai to shoot a romantic song with Rajinikanth.

The number, an ultra-romantic love duet, was choreographed by Saroj Khan and we hear Ms Khan, known to make screen-couples sizzle on screen with their chemistry, had planned some scorching-hot moves between the two.

But God proposes, Rajinikanth disposes.

Apparently Rajinikanth post his illness has become acutely conscious of his age and the age-difference with his leading lady. Rajinikanth apparently asked his director Soundarya who also happens to be his daughter to ..err, modify and change the love scenes. It took Deepika’s intervention to convince the mega-star to cuddle and get lovey-dovey for the song.

Says a part of the Kochadaiyaan team, “Rajni Sir wanted the romantic movements and gestures to be watered down. But Deepika insisted on letting them be. She in fact made sure Rajini Sir was comfortable.”

When quizzed about the romantic song the Kochadaiyaan producer Dr. Murli Manohar said, “It’s a brilliant romantic song. A duet with classical undertones. It’s not a classical dance number, as wrongly reported in the media. A R Rahman has outdone himself in the song. It’s an extremely romantic song with classical elements woven into it. But it isn’t a classical dance number.”
