Athuvum Parkalam... sila pear OK OK utter flop ennu sonnanga.... sila pear Siruthai utter flop ennu sonnanga...
The director has potential to make a racy entertainer.
Question is whether the actor is willing to do versatile roles or feels too comfortable doing antihero kinda roles like Billa, Asal, Mankatha, Billa II...

Namma siruthai Siva edutha latest padathoda review:
http://www.cinegoer.com/telugu-cinem...ew-250512.html
Daruvu is a downright delusional film for Ravi Teja fans. Clichéd is an over used term for this story, the director takes a couple of plots and dumps it in a blender with the usual consistent Ravi Teja energy and Brahmi syrup that has long passed the expiry date. You will wonder why the film opens in Chennai but will get answer only in the later half of the story.
This done to death story is about an impossible guy falling, wooing his girl and being killed in an accident inadvertently caused by the girl's would-be husband. He reaches hell and bargains for a deal with Yama as he learns his life span hasn't been completed as yet; The beleaguered Yama undoes his problem by allowing him to get into a person who is about to die soon.
The next half is about this man who finds himself in the look alike body, who is apparently a home minister, finds peace with his mother, gets his girlfriend back and settles crime/corruption in the society through his intelligence.
Daruvu is another film for Ravi Teja that hardly does his career any favour, or shows something fresh from his side. The intro has personalities who all look like boulders whoever told the director that every person in hell suffers from cholesterol and to add to the misery are the formulaic clippings of NTR and Chiranjeevi and Junior, the visual quality that puts one totally off and is of no use to the clunky story.
Taapsee is another set property, Brahmanandam's incompetence and discomfort in behaving like a woman is very apparent, his presence irritates and there is no explanation why his name is Vidya Balan and why he keeps saying Nithya Menon when his aide comes with a tiny recorder. Vennela Kishore has no funny lines, he makes awkward company as Ravi and Kishore are both tall and look like two parallel sticks on screen.
The song and dance are mere fillers and the film is something not worth discussing, it is playing for the galleries. Daruvu has a tagline, the sound of mass, it is actually a rolling stone that gathers no moss.
Adhisaya piravi padame oru sumaaar padam..... adhaye indha dog remake panni iruku. Ivan mela ennaku suthama nambikka illa. Ivan ellam Ajitha Direct panran alavukku vandhuduche!!

Machi - By any chance are you referring to Vishnu. Irrespective of his flop with Pawan, we shouldn't forget his earlier hits in tamil. But what is Siva's track record.
Unless he remakes again, we are not going to get a half decent film.

fyi, Vishnu was only director of that movie. and I feel it would have done quite well in Tamil.
