sumArA? Well, I guess if you are not familiar with the works of Chandler/Hammet, it's a bit difficult to like this movie. It is a ahaa ohoo movie, one of the best in private eye genre (though its more than that, political). Best actor to have never played Philip Marlowe, and easily one of the best villains ever.

Revisited Pulp Fiction again. The sequence involving Vincent and Jules just after the opening credits till they get the briefcase from Bretts is enough for me to revisit the movie time and again. . A sequence effectively built up with suspense, fear, tension and intensity and Samuel L Jackson just owns it. Just great writing from Tarantino. Jules has great subtexts throughout the scene. Many a times, he does surprising and unexpected things while accomplishing what we suspected he would in the beginning but again staying true to character.....
