I felt KN was a lengthy movie,songs were awesome, esp Viswanathan vElai vendrum by Dr.PBS. But KN had a huge list of popular artis like Muthuraman, Balaiya, Nagesh, ravichandran, kanchana.

But TM main artists were Rajni and Coconut, alhough Nagesh and Kamal did a Cameo role.
Ah How can one forget Madhavi POn mayilal !

Antha padam release agurappa lead pairs ellam relatively new comers.... I think KN is ravichandran's debut movie.

sowcar was excellent in TM...
the way she runs to rajinis home thru the backyard, jump over the kitchen window and gets in, walks in relaxedly into the hall infront of coconut saying 'kulichittu irundhen'... fantastic sequence...
and rajinis expression when he says 'ippo evlavo paravaala sir'

allov, Galatta Kalyanam is not all-out comedy. Agree it is not as funny as KN, but it had its moments. KN's downside = Ravichandran.

KN is definitely a classic comedy film and was a trendsetter. IMO, Thillu Mullu is overrated here

KN is definitely a classic comedy film and was a trendsetter. IMO, Thillu Mullu is overrated here

having watched golmaal first, the original hindi version and being a sucker for subtlety, i think TM was a bit overdone........rajini was excellent but rajini's sister character, coconut steenu, sowcar, coconut steenu's servant character - very tough to bear all these in one go........kadhalikka neramillai was precise and timing was perfect......

Worst-a? Kandippa illa. ROTFL comedy-nu solla mudiyaathu, Chellapa konjam blade thaan, but his combination with Viswanathan and their combination with Chidambaram was too good. Viswanathan was as good as Sri Ramachandramurthy. Apart from this watta songs.....Nalla tharamaana, nagaichuvaiyaana, janaranjagamaana, aadal paadal konda pozhuthupOkku chithirathai worstu-nu sollalaama?
