yes yes, no comparisions with KN pls.. diff periods... unfair comparision... the humour conceived by the directors and the sense of humour of the audience would have been very different with the 15 yrs gap... i dont remember much on KN except for some nagesh balaiyyaa manoramaa scenes... but maaruvedam ellaam pOttu adhuvum oru naadagam maadhiri dhaan irundhuchu... enna periya level naadagam... aana oru maadhiri interestingaa dhaan pogum... but all those discussions for 'All Time Greats' thread...
maybe, oru netrikkann'oda compare panni pesunga... neraya visayam veliya varum...

Grouch +1 on Bale Pandiya. Or Sabash Meena. Or server sundaram. Don't remember much of galatta K / Kaase dhaan K. Basically there is funamentally something wrong with KN.
Thillu Mullu, Chennai Sabha naadagam, absolutely. Sort of a precursor to crazy comedies in the 90s/00s. TM is not a *great* film too, but the jokes / acting etc. are all better than Kadhalikka Neramillai. Excellent repeat value.

Nagesh, sachu and sahcu's father scenes are excellant througout the movie. the problem with KN is the lead actors are "sappai" in terms of comedy.

He typically gets bored much quicker than me and it had so many repeats by him that we lost count.
So much so that he often uses Subramaya Bharathi's 'பலக்கமில்லேங்க' frequently
(Similar to the way I use 'சரிங்க ஆஃபீசர்' in daily conversations)

There is a lot of one liners from TM which we used in real life..... "ellam I was sir"

Bale Pandiya was hilarious. When I watched it for the first time, I thougt, oh appavae ippadiyaa....many funny situations and very well executed comedy. Yeah, it's better than KN. This is my favourite comedy movie followed by Aan Pavam, Inru Poi Naalai Vaa, etc...
Hac in hora.....sine mora
