SS,the way NOV put it initially,it was like he hated the movie(now understandable) and the songs(why ya?) and would not like a remake.Maybe he assumed the remake too will have similar costumes,ambience,fake accent etc etc etc

I still like it much much better than the Dabanggs of the world.
It achieved what it set out to do and is sincere (of course, there was no other mode of operation then).

I hate Dabbang because it wants to kinda wink at the audience (look, I am bigger than the aesthetics of this movie, I am intentionally pandering, even borderline spoofing) and at the same time get the mileage out of the format. Unselected.

exactly my point... if he spoke abt the video, remake'la epdiyum adhellam avoid pannidalaamae...
but let him confirm that he spoke only abt the video and not abt music... in which case, naan panjayatthukkae vandhirukka maten..

No comparison with Dabangg pls.SKV was watchable in the mid 80's(when I got to watch it first)along with TTT,Vikram,Vaazhve Maayam etc.

The above films are difficult to sit through now.

But I could not bear indha kaalathu Dabangg the first time around.Idhoda Telugu remake industry hit aam,My God!
