Pray who were the 'only Tamil, will watch nothing else' people who you are writing about here? (not that that is a sorry stand in the first place, but just asking out of curiosity)
WOW whata reaction from band of brothers! Mr. P_R
I was referring to every single hubber who made condescending remarks towards all the other regional movies. [B][U]All I said was its good thing they are seeing even non தமிழ் movies at least that way they will appreciate other movies period. They could have treated my post as "A Dog braking at the moon" rite? instead such a reaction says something ! Go figure.
You are rite , There are huge difference between talking to "Plastic Cool Wannabes" and the "Real Deal" yep I shouldn't have posted it knowing what kind of hubbers I am dealing with ( I am sure they are good human beings in their real life) but in Hub life well @@ Actual objects might be bigger than they appear. And I don't have to degrade myself and start discussing in some low life language.

Can you elaborate.
I think we have had many discussions about Tamil vs. Hindi films where opinions from all ends of the spectrum were aired. This has been going on for ages.
Where is this 'o ye parochial little boys, come out and see the big world' coming from ??

Just who are you talking to is the question again.

Could have. Probably it took this clarification to dispel the mistaken assumption that you had something to say in way of discussion.

The reaction is because you have assumed an annoying patronizing tone. When you say it in a reaction to certain hubbers' posts it is natural they take offence.
And then you backtrack saying you were making a general point about some people from yonder days. As this isn't convincing either the reaction is what it is.
What more is their to figure?

Even now you fail to understand how that you bandied about words loosely (you can only see how brothers are ganging up against you).
Till you really get that, and how annoying it can be to have someone say 'o my simple child, it's heartening to see you all grown up and watching good movies', the misunderstanding is going to persist.
Perhaps you'd step down from that moral high horse and engage with these points.
disclaimer: probably this discussion has a longer history than I am aware of. If so, I am sorry. I am merely commenting based on the current discussion.

I thought the lead Andrew Garfield would be a better choice than Tobey Quagmire (Thanks Equa)..

The Amazing Spiderman
Honestly speaking, it's is hard to rate this movie. Call it the huge shadow of the first one. Andrew Garfield too was a little disappointing. While we had the triumph of the underdog in the first, we are served up with a much more cocky Spiderman in this. So basically we have the initial parts all over again with Peter Parker having to live with his uncle and aunt gets bitten by a spider and transforms . But here the film scores well in portraying Peter's desperation in not having a father figure to look up to..But that too only to an extent, as the movie inexplicably tends to concentrate more on action from here on...
