which MD is he talking about at 26:30 ? (ref: when the late Balaji approached Gangai amaran for 'Vaazhvey maayam', a big MD - not IR - was pissed off and complained to Balaji "if you are not going to IR, why not me then ? why GA ?) wonder who is that MD ?

Who else, most probably MSV...he was the regular for Balaji films - sujAthA, billA, savAl, thee etc. All these came during IR's prime; for some reason, Balaji didn't continue with IR after a few films initially, like deepam / thyAgam / nallathoru kudumbam. Even when he wanted alternative for MSV, he went to GA (vAzhvE mAyam / sattam).

Only after the arrival of Mohanlal into their family (as marumagan), IR got signed up for some "co-production" movies, I think. (e.g. kAlApAni)

In any case, I was so happy those days that my fav IR was not the MD for the two movies that had the child-molester-criminals glorified by having their names for the heroes as well as titles. (billA & rangA).
