Thank You sivan. Long time since I saw you around here!

True. In a way Sivan or his words were one of the reasons for me attempting to write on Sikkalar. Sivan had come down to India in March and we had planned to meet. But due to his busy schedule his stay in Chennai was for a very short period and we could communicate only through phone. I was telling that he is not to be even seen in NT thread. He in turn asked me why I was not writing anything and he was right in the sense that due to preoccupation with so many other things my contribution has come down to next to nothing. I told him that i would try to contribute more. that coupled with my commitment to Plum made this possible. Thank You Sivan for being a catalyst.

Dear Parthasarathy,

What an analytic write-up about the 'Sikkalar' charatacter, very different kind of analysis indeed, all along, I used to wonder how our NT has made a stunning difference from his other characters and you have portrayed that in 'sundarath thamilil'.

நான்குமே தேனினும் இனிய பாடல்கள்தான் என்பதில் மாற்று கருத்தில்லை ஆனால் படம் ஆரம்பித்த அரை மணி நேரத்தில் நான்கு பாடல்கள் (நமசிவாயவாழ்க,ஞானப்பழத்தை,பழம் நீயப்பா,பொதிகை)என்றால் இன்றைய தலைமுறையினருக்கு ஆரம்பத்திலேயே ஒரு சலிப்பு ஏற்பட்டுவிடுமோ என்ற பயம் ஏற்படுகிறது

அதே போல் இடைவேளைக்கு பிறகும் நிறைய பாடல்கள் உள்ளதால் மேற்சொன்ன பாடல்களை வெட்டினால் நல்லது என்பது என் கருத்து
