Yesterday i was listening to Sonnathu Nee thanaa?? - Nenjil oor aalayam - and it was so beautiful(although i have appreciated and listened to this song so many times) that i thought this could be the best ever tamil song for its tune, lyrics, voice, emotions, etc.
Next i listened to Maalai pozhuthin mayakathile from Bhagyalakshmi and a series of songs sung by P Susheela. Each one of them are different and all of them gave me the same feelings that their could not be any other songs in tamil so beautifully composed and rendered. What a combination MSV and P Susheela.
From P Susheela songs jumped to TMS songs and it was Veedu varai uravu and the tune, music and lyrics seemed out of the world quality. What great feelings that one gets when you listen to these songs undisturbed.

I happened to watch Padatha pattellam pada... from the movie Veera Thirumagan. PBS voice is soft and sweet and the humming of SJ was very nice to hear. The whole song seemed so perfect when you look at the lyrics, the voice, the merging of SJ's humming , etc. What to say of the music...., the music and the humming merging with the song is so nicely done that one cannot imagine the song without these. How much hardwork and knowledge the whole team would have put for coming out with such nice perfect song? Can't imagine.

Thanks for posting the song Dochu. I was watching the movie Periya edathu penn the other day. All songs were wonderful to listen to. Two songs Parappa palaniappa and Katodu kullal aada songs showed the ability of MSV-TKR to compose brilliant rural songs too. The melody that runs throughout the song Katodu.. and the way they have used the word "aada.." was amazing. I do not think, till date, any folk song had reached this level of quality.

When the original is a super duper hit, the remake should atleast get half of the appreciations. But for MSV bringing out the basic emotions in the small sounds all over the song is inborn...So it cant be comparable .
