deiva magan - Sivaji excelling in all 3 roles and almost all scenes of "Kannan" are fantastic!
(Otherwise so-so film, too lengthy)

balE pANdiyA - another 3 Sivaji film - again, fantastic performance by NT! But, in a film that's boring for most part.
(BTW, quite a few similarities with MMKR - if we add Balaji, there are 4 "hero" characters also )

Except one or two places, sirippE varalai...adhilum Balaji scenes were torture...(Could have used Balaiah instead - or Nagesh)

Untraceable - well made thriller

A gripping thriller starring Diane Lane. The movie is about an internetkiller who has a website and kills people live on that site. And of course FBI is chasing this guy and try to stop his as fast as possible. What struck me is the last comment on the copmuter in climax scene in the movie that said: How can I download the vid?

vizhundhu vizhundhu sirichchu / uNarchchi vasappattu / bramichchu / rasichchu / anubavichchu...almost all dialogs & BGM manappAdam...what a film!

Aaranya Kaandam.....is this the best tamil movie ever made?? atleast for Noir genre, its simply the best........."best thing abt being a woman is its a men's world" - those are firsts in tamil movies i suppose.....also not a single scene playing to the gallery like medley music/dance amongst poor/handicapped/mentally desolate/one-eyed artistes, beggars or tasmac philosophy song or any of pudhumai endra peyaril kodumai, vanmai, penmai, kan-mai, yadartha-padartha-siddhantham........

the chase scene just after interval shot is just explosion of a new wave cinema.......
