Yeah.. I remember there were many ARR songs in the last final too.. However, just because ARR was the guest, Vijay TV shouldn't have forced the contestants to sing an ARR number - assuming they did. I don't think he would've had any issues with numbers composed by others.

Vijay TV would have insisted but I think even the contestants would have preferred going for AR songs as he was the chief guest. And in any case Aajeedh would have gone for AR song for both rounds. Vanthae maatharam was a complete surprise. Never expected.

மக்கள் ஓட்டு போட்டார்கள் என்ற காரணத்திற்க்காக ஆஜித்திற்கு முதல் இடம்.தொடக்கத்தில் இருந்தே ஆஜித்தை விட ஜட்ஜ்களிடம் பாரட்டுகள் பெற்ற பிரகதிக்கு இரண்டாம் இடம்.

Because he was almost a unanimous choice - adhula thillu mullu paNNaa pinni pedeleduthirupaanga. Already they had burnt their fingers in Senior 3, so I was expecting them to behave properly this time.

Totally agree. He erred while singing the first line and from then his parents were reacting as such. Agreed that they would be disappointed after an year of hard work. But sitting like this in front of the contestant son, who had not even completed his song was plain stupidity. The boy's confidence would've taken a beating.
