Kamal didn't help when sensors rejected the film but the producer was able to solve himself. Then what help exactly the producer expected kamal to do?!?
Nayakan movie was a commercial success and everyone incl Sivaji Ganesan appreciated it. It featured in times too. So, when Kamal haasan did lots of things extra, to make it a world class product, why didn't Mukta try lots of new methods to generate profits?! Keeping a winning product on hand and still not able to make money?!? And as per kamal, Mukta said he was not interested in awards.

When kamal does lots and lots of extra things which he is not supposed to do, its called interference, even though his works enhanced the film.
Whatever problem the producer faces, like the censor issue, kamal shud come front and settle all the issue. Then whats the producer for??!? Avarum sila velaikal seyyaNum thaane?!?
And when the whole world is praising this film, this guy isn't happy and suggests that the alternative story which he has wud have much more rocked the world
Kamal Haasan gave the film rolls that he had purchased for his earlier movie. I paid him for these rolls. However, P.C. Sreeram did not use it, as it was old stock.
So he agrees that kamal gave film rolls. And if PC didn;t use them, then on what film roll was the famous crying scene shot?!? I guess if kamal reacts for this, much more truth will come out!

MakkaLE, paathukkOnga, kamal padathula avar interfere pannuvaarnu komblaind pannuveengaLe, Mukta had made sure that his suggestions were taken to the movie content. He also suggested to edit the film which he didn't write.
Same goes to aalavanthaan too, Dhanu suggested some things to kamal and he incorporated too. Later, Dhanu trimmed th film length.
Just saying that only kamal's involvement is blamed and most of us not even know abour producer's involvement too, in the film content.
So nallaarunthaalum nallaa illainnaalum kamaloda ectra department involvement ai blame pannuravanga producer's oda mookku nuzhaippaiyum kandiyunga.

PUSHPAK -A CASE STUDY IN NON VERBAL COMMUNICATION!
Review By An Admirer! True Words..
#Anchal!
This movie was released way back in 1988 but I managed to watch it on 4th september 2008 in my college seminar room.Initially I was not interestd in watching a silent movie but when I started watching I got hooked to it.A silent movie yet so entertaining.Infact pushpak is one movie which acctually needs no dialogue or language.
Director Singreetham Srinivasan has done a terrific job and so are the performances of Kamala Hassan,Amala,Tinu Anand,Farida Jalal etc.
The plot goes like this.
Kamala is an unnamed, broke and unemployed youth.Everyday is a struggle for existence for him.Even a beggar is richer than him.One day Kamala by luck stumbles upon a drunkard millionare by roadside who resides in room number 3039 of the Hotel Pushpak.Kamala takes the drunkard prisoner in his house and assumes his identity to taste luxury.By chance Amala stays across his room balcony with her magician father(who had to perform in pushpak)and mother.Kamala had met Amala twice before this.Soon there love starts blossoming and Kamala uses his false identity(rich man) to impress her.One day Kamala and Amala goes out on date.Kamala made Amala buy expensive gifts but she refuses and asks for a bunch of flowers on top of a dilapidated old building. And as a doting lover he abides by her wish. But while doing it he realises that love cannot be measured in terms of money.Meanwhile a contract killer(Tinu Anand) hired by drunkard’s wife’s lover is sent after the drunkard who engaes in repeated failed attempts to kill Kamala with knives made of ice(he mistook Kamala for the drunkard because they were staying in the same room number 3039).
But after seeing the drunkard’s wife lamenting her missing husband and witnessing the people scavenging rich beggar’s money after his death followed by seeing the pictures of Pushpak owner’s success story and several other small but significant incidents Kamala’s view of life is deeply affected and changed. He eventually realises that he should not use this money which came through luck and not by hardwork and gives up his new found luxury. He relenquishes everything including his love.
In its ending,Kamala frees the drunkard and confesses everything to Amala. She tells him that she still likes him and throws a rose and her adress/phone number from her car. Before Kamala could catch it,wind catches it and takes it some distance away
The last shot shows Kamala standing at the employment line once again beggining his struggle for existence but this time with grit, confidence and determination.
Few scenes in the movie which were very touching and moving:
1)When beggar dies and how people react
2)When Amala asks for a bunch of flowers as a gift
Few scenes in the movie which were really funny:
1)All the toilet scenes
2)When beggar shows his richness(oxymoronic)
3)When Kamala is unable to sleep without the noise made by dog barks
4)When the shopkeeper treats Kamala genourously assuming him to be bigger than the last man who had just purchased a INR50,000 statue
5)When magician is shown performing his tricks with his wife
6)Whenever Kamala goes out to throw the packed gift box
and many more!

Kamal Haasan wanted the film to be shot at Dharavi in Bombay, which was the largest and most congested slum in Asia. I did not want to shoot the entire movie in Bombay – but not because I was “tightfisted,” as Kamal claims. I was always interested in shooting in different locations. Though it was not very easy to shoot outside studios, those days, I had shot in Kashmir, Nepal, Shimla and the Andamans. But when I visited Dharavi,
I found that it was not possible to shoot there, since it was thickly populated. Also, I was concerned about the security of the crew. Using photographs of the slum, art director Thota Tharani created the set at Venus studios, Chennai, which turned out three times more expensive than it would have been had we shot at Dharavi. We had to hire thousands of junior artists to create that atmosphere. The remaining portion was shot at Bombay.
Kamal and Mani wud have known that Dharavi Slum wud be too congested and still wanted to shoot there. But its Mukta who denied it and becos if his decision only the expense grew 3 fold.
Many many years later, the population and congestion wud have gone much more higher in Dharavi. Even the security conditions too wud have become more worse. But kamal was able to shoot Mumbai express in same Dharavi, many years later.
Now he says becos of kamal only, the budget increased.

Anban.. press release vidunga.. that he made it to console the producer and yet it did not spread to everyone like Hindu's interview. But when he was sharing the nostalgia from 25 years old memories on a epic movie, IR should have been mentioned I feel. What's wrong in my expectation?

Kamal was talking about the making of the movie on the sets. He talked about what difficulties he faced while shooting and all. How can you expect him to bring IR's name whose involvement was in the background, not on the sets. Moreover, it was not some audio release function or 100 days function where they praise everybody involved in the movie. It was an interview and he is only going to talk about the topic at hand or about the questions asked to him.
Mukta mentioned IR to discredit the contributions of kamal and Mani. Atha poyi perusaa eduthikittu.
