yesterday night.. 11 pm to 2 am..
    KAADHAL MANNAN .. in KTV

    - absolutely delightful to see that Ajith
    - everything was placed neatly in the film.. not a single dull moment..
    - everyone did a neat job.. Vivek & MSV.. special
    - even the heroine was good..
    - dialogues are very well written... liked the word plays
    - songs & lyrics..
    - vivek is associate director..
    - easily the best from Sharan [this is the spelling he uses]
    - the ending is similar to another venkateswaralayam - saran combo.. Amarkalam.. i mean the style.. the lead pair will succeed in love & they start walking in the road.. end credits will be shown
    - Saran - one of my fav. director.. he had a style.. different from those worked in 90's.. sad to see him now running out of ideas

The two are not in good terms, probably something happened during the shoot. This was their first & last movie together. Vivek's relationship with Hari too wasn't too good after Saamy (till Singam)

Vivek and MSV together were superb ! I like the scene where Vivek confronts Ajith regarding his love for an already engaged girl. The discussions get heated up and Ajith would slap Vivek when Vivek says "tharaila kaala vaingadaa'', but immediately after the slap when we expect Vivek to get even more serious, he would say 'Ah ! tharaila kaala vekka sonnaa kannathula kaiyya vechuttaan" - superb timing One of the best by Vivek !

Another scene, Vivek would appear in herione's friend's dream and she would suddenly wake up as if she had a nightmare. Heroine would ask "ennadi?" and she would respond "ketta kanavu" and then the heroine would say "thalaikku pakkathula seruppa vechuttu thoongu"

yes...the best film from Saran.....no doubt about that........ the beauty of this film is.......... a film with wafer thin story and lots of scenes with no logic...yet you never feel that while watching the movie..such is the screenplay and the freshness in the way it was directed....... one of my favorite movies

My most fav movie of Ajith till date. It didn't get the success it deserved. I rate it better than Amarkkalam.

I know I'm going to get a lot of shite for saying this, but one of my favourite ajith movie is citizen. I cant still get my finger on why I like it.

On a side note I think it's partially due to the mass grave digging up scenes and lots of other factors that both awed and terrified me as I was merely a child during the release of the movie.

my most fav Ajith film is Varalaru........ first half sappaiya irunthalum antha Sivasankar - villain son oda duel la padam soodu pidikkum...it was an awesome scene and Ajith's (esp Sivasankar's) mannerism, style, charisma anga dhool kilappum...... risky role for playing an effeminate character but Ajith pulled it off with tremendous ease. Another aspect I liked in this movie...was ARR's BGM (villain son wielding a knife to kill his father, villain son's theme, Sivasankar's Marriage when he comes down in steps etc.,) and Innisai song...A good entertainer....if only K.S.Ravikumar invested some more in Graphics, Visuals, Editing (except when he directed Kamal, many of KSR's movies suffered from very poor editing / CG) and marketing, it would have been a much more bigger hit than it actually was
