film has its flaws... Vijay & ARM's screenplay holds it till the end
Judging by what ARM had said of Sathyan's character, i guess he has got what he wanted. I guess it was largely intentional and except for the 'betermax' and couple of moments where he would be probing Vijay about the terrorist, Sathyan's character was never meant to be funny IMO.
Honest, one honest comment i have is, watching a movie like Thuppakki in theatres to watching at home first time, i guess makes a lot of difference.
But as you said, the movie is not without its flaws.

I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it.

IndiaGlitz : Thuppakki release in South Africa
After it's huge success at the Kollywood box office, Thuppakki is all set to release in South Africa. It will be promoted by Kavin Media and Ster Kinekor cinemas in the country. This is certai
nly great news for Vijay fans living in South Africa, who would have been waiting for an opportunity to see the A.R.Murugadoss directed film.
Thuppakki will be making an appearance across major cities in South Africa, including Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town. Its the first instance over decades which sees a Tamil movie releasing across 3 cities in South Africa. Make sure to catch Thuppakki if you are anywhere close to these locations.

Simbhu would've released his film because both the films are of completely different genres.

Rajakumaran.
Not a matter though. It was a woman with dusky complexion.
