i don't find anything like that..
few scenes were good.. like the start & end (this one i guessed).. lot of twists.. but somehow i may not be interested to watch it again
For those interested in going beyond viewership, search for content and material in the movies. Once in a while there comes a movie which is worth discussing, debating, observing & learning. For this you got to view the movie several times. Show it to several people with same interest and collect their views - language is not a barrier [I have watched movies without sound - best way to analyse and critic a film work]. Its interesting. Eventhough you can't make a movie, you can always learn.

Here is a list of movies released in 2012 those which have captured my attention. Several of us [me being the only Indian/tamilan] saw many 2012 movies including Aravan, Billa 2, Maattrran. Billa 2 was our unanimous pick for this years best film making technics in Tamil Cinema so far.

    Film : why

Ambuli : concept, setting, costumes, performence

Muppozhudhum Un Karpanaigal : How a movie should not be made

Aravaan : reason out why it failed

Kazhugu : character developement, naration, atmosphere

Billa 2 : sreenplay, tone, dialogues, camera work

Maattrraan : special effects - notably the interval fight which seems to have bored many. This is technically a brilliant movie, many missed to appriciate it.

Pizza : performance, naration, lighting, sound, camera work - pros and cons

Thiruthani : just kidding ... got ya !

    Ammavin Kaipesi : backdrop, photography

Eagerly waiting for Vishwaroopam. Kamal never disappoints me and there would be so many interesting bits to watchout for.

Claude Lelouch's, C'était un Rendez vous - The greatest and probably the most controversial piece of street car racing film - A car driving through an early morning Paris.

    Ordinary (Malayalam)

The film is soon to be remade as Jannal Oram in Tamil. A cliche driven feel good drama. Nothing extra ORDINARY.

    Iruvar

The dialogues certainly the biggest minus. But many sequences - well supported by Lalettan and ARR - did impress. It's quite sad that the film lost to a mediocre/bad film in the Pongal race.

Which was that mediocre/bad film? Iruvar seems to be a half baked approach to me. Mani gave much importance to not-so-important events of Dravidian politics and diluted the essence. A good opprtunity got wasted.

Softie, please educate me what was the theme of Iruvar and how the screen play and songs helped to achieve that.
