We are overreacting with respect to team's performance. We were below par average with Dravid/Laxman in the past two years and without them I think this is expected.
But my question is we have Sehwag, Kohli, Y.Singh or even Sachin as part time bowlers. Why that Dhoni uses only the main bowlers when they could not take any wickets? I remember Kumble was using Sehwag frequently in Australia. Spin bowlers delivering 40 overs each without taking any wickets and you don't try with your part timers, something is seriously wrong with Dhoni!

Not at all.
Everyone was floundering and Cook played solid innings in the second and third tests.

Lost 2-0 @ home to SA. Cleanly whitewashed in Dubai. Managed to scrape a draw in SL with the absence of Murali. Sorry Case closed.
Fundamental disagreement. No way in hell. Let's see if you can scrape at-least a draw in SA this time like India did against a solid SA @ their home. Ithupona Australiava adichupottu pechai paaru.

I expected India would be pummeled and shown their place in England.
Honestly, I didn't expect England would win India. I expected Swann/Monty to do well but I expected they (except Cook) would struggle against spin like they did vs. Pak and SL. They seem to have pulled their game up aided ably by crappy bowling from India (ellAm sollakkELvi dhaan). Delightful either way.

Sure SA is the best team in the world now. And Aus is getting better. This Ashes will be very very interesting!!
The point I am harping is the deep annoyance I felt when people were surprised (many genuinely were) when India lost in Eng last year. "So you really thought you were No.1 and have not been following England's rise?" - is a question I can't ask enough. thaniyA romba pulamba vittAinga. OnAyA irundhu pArthA dhaan... Couldn't even savour the victory.

Anyway, past is past. Nagpur chalo! I want England to make the most out of India's listlessness.
It was heartening to read Trott scoring after a while. It would be good if Bell gets a few runs in Nagpur.
