"பிரபு எனது இளைய மகன். 1956-ம் ஆண்டின் இறுதியில் பிறந்தான். அவன் பிறந்த போது நான் கோவையில் படப்பிடிப்பில் இருந்தேன். சில நாட்கள் கழித்துத்தான் அவனைப் பார்க்க முடிந்தது. நான் ஓய்வின்றி நடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்த நேரம் அது. 24 மணி நேரமும் நடித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தேன். பிரபுவைப் பற்றி சொல்ல வேண்டுமானால், "He is a nice boy !". எல்லோரிடமும் அன்பாகப் பழகுவான். என்னிடம் அவனுக்கு பயம் அதிகம். சிறு வயதிலிருந்தே அவன் என்னிடம் வளரவில்லை. என் மைத்துனர் தான் அவனை வளர்த்து வந்தார். என் எதிரில் கூட வரமாட்டான். நான் கூப்பிட்டனுப்பினால் தான் வந்து பேசுவான்."
இன்று 31.12.2010 இளைய திலகம் பிரபு அவர்களின் 55வது பிறந்த நாள்.

Parambarai revisit (1 1/2 CDs of 3 VCDs)
Wife and I watched it, because my better half caught some comedy clips on TV and wanted to watch the whole film. She was quite taken to the film itself, in addition to the Gounder/Senthil riots. As for me, I stuck to appreciating Prabhu and laughing my rear off during the comedy scenes.
But Prabhu! Wow. You'd never see a much more fierce Prabhu than this. Again, he has daddy issue here, with the same dad as in Agni Natchatiram. There are not many actors, after NT, who can express rage, frustration and pathos at the same time and Prabhu did it magnificently when he had to confront Vijaya kumar.
Nothing great about the story. Really poor bad guy, who was he by the way?
Manorama, despite the usual sad widowed grandma shtick, was funny in places. In one scene, after talking with Prabhu about a stray kolusu stuck on his shirt, teasing him, leaves the frame, and Prabhu would look dreamily at the kolusu, head slowly tilting upwards, she'd appear again, saying, "Dey, niraya velai irukku paattu kittunu poyidatha!", and drags him away :lol:

Yeah. I didn't like it. With the shifting of thundu feels like Rajinism to me. Director K.S. Ravi Kumar.

Actually Radha Ravi was very good in it. Very funny. He tried recreating that in one of recent Prabhu/Karthik dud, but didn't work out well.
