If you meant 'Rubaiyat' of Omar Khayyam, two of his poems - veyyilketra nizhal uNdu and ezhudhi chellum vidhiyin kai- were used KaLvanin Kaadhali(1955), the movie version with Sivaji Ganesan in the lead. Those two are translations of ' Beneath the bow with a jug of wine' and 'Moving finger writes and having writ moves on'. Desikavinayakam PiLLai was the translator. I wrote about 'veyyiketra nizhal uNdu' in Thiraiyil Ilakkiyam series in TFMpage Magazine under the title 'vaname sorgam'. You might want to read it. Doon't know whether 'KaLvanin Kaadhali' was discussed.
