My view was related to their accessibility on the whole, not particular to Twitter... Amitji was a superstar 2 /3 decades ago.. we need to compare the Amitabh of 80's with R & K.. My point is that the fan base and image of Bollywood stars are increasing because of their accessibility. I do accept that R & K does not require to keep their star status..

They never worked to build their fan base, but they got their fan base when they were accessible :)

Not sure RR - is anyone becoming a fan after getting access to the twitter handles of their stars? I think it is otherwise no? Who other than a die hard Salman Khan fan or a 20 something hindi news channel cub reporter out to find some news to fill the air, becomes a salman fan after interacting with him in twitter?

do stars really join twitter, face book to improve their fan base? why not it can be to be socialize with the ppl around to judge the ppl impulse, a frank opinion on their performance apapdi irukka koodathu? A.R.Rahman lam intha maathiri reason ku than adikkadi forums / facebook / orkut pakkam varuvaar nu kelvi pattirukkaen....

That's what we are saying - you are not going to add to fan base but you are going to keep yourself in news and visible - which lesser stars likie Amitji, Salman etc need. R/K already have that visibility without even trying. A Salman who makes some oddball twitter comments is going to be featured more in Hindi news channels than a Salman who keeps to himself. This is not true of R/K. They'll be in news anyway.

Rightly said. Information about R/K need not to come through themself.....Fans do not wait for R/K to provide info on day to day basis.... fans are still hungry and search the news....I am not sure this would be the case in Bollywood....it is one of the major differences between R/K and other bollywood stars. Since R/K do not divulge themself in such activities, so media started to work overtime. At the end, someone has to feed fans.

At his peak, Amitji never cared for the media - it was only print media at that time but there were a couple of decades when he had a war with the media, and still didn't suffer a dent in popularity. That he has to now tweet, blog etc to remain connected is a comedown, surely?

ஒய் திஸ் கொல வெறிடி..3 பாடலுக்கு ரஜினியை நடனம் ஆட கேட்டிருக்கிறார் ஐஸ்வர்யா. ஐஸ்வர்யா இயக்கும் ‘3Õ படத்தில் தனுஷ் நடிக்கிறார். இப்படத்துக்காக தனுஷ் எழுதி பாடிய, ‘ஒய் திஸ் கொல வெறிடிÕ பாடல் சூப்பர் ஹிட்டாகி விட்டது. இப்பாடலை சிரித்தபடி கேட்டு ரசித்தார் ரஜினிகாந்த். பாடலுக்கான சூழல் மற்றும் அதற்கான அர்த்தம் என்ன என்று ஐஸ்வர்யாவிடம் கேட்டார். அதை அவர் விளக்கினார்.

ஏற்கனவே ‘3 படத்தில் கவுரவ வேடத்தில் ரஜினியை நடிக்க கேட்க எண்ணி இருந்தார் ஐஸ்வர்யா. இந்நிலையில், ‘ஒய் திஸ் கொல வெறிடிÕ பாடல் பிரபலமாகிவிட்டதால் அந்த பாடலுக்கு வலு சேர்க்கும் விதமாக ரஜினியை நடனம் ஆட வேண்டும் என்று கேட்டுள்ளார். அதற்கு ரஜினியும் ஓ.கே. சொல்லி இருப்பதாக பட வட்டாரங்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றன. ரஜினி நடிப்பது உறுதியானால் படத்தில் 2 முறை இப்பாடலை இடம்பெற செய்ய ஐஸ்வர்யா திட்டமிட்டிருக்கிறார். சோலோவாக தனுஷ் பாடுவதுபோல் ஒரு முறையும், ரஜினியுடன் சேர்ந்து மற்றொரு முறை பாடுவது போலவும் காட்சிகள் அமைக்கப்பட உள்ளன.
