Reality is Kamal movies doesnt have the buzz among youths like it used to have. That's the reason why when the movie is not good it struggles a lot. Uthama Villan was a classic example.

Rajamouli got funded by AP in house company and they will NOT fund such money on ANY non AP actors. For Rajini, ask him to get fund for a non shankar movie, even 100 Crores is doubtful. While I really didnt want to compare box offices of KH and Vijay, I was trying to let know that KH can do wonders in BO if needed. PN is a case in point .. There's an underlying annoying thought among many that KH sucks in Box office and no longer relevant.
Other than the SS, none well now 'I' (Shankar) have been able to match Dasavatharam or VR numbers.
The numbers are right in front of us if somebody wants to dig in.
