App, looks like the number of songs in "app-missed-geethams' will be in double digits when you wind up covering all IR-SPB hits.
Including these two songs, the current count stands at 5.

As you would have already noticed, "Adi Kannathaa" song (that Grouch has also referred to) has 5 star rating (that the two SPB-KSC duets have got). It has all the usual IR elements in it and can get into any IR-SPB hits list for sure. Ada Mappila is a situation based song (for making Super* fans happy). SPB & IR would have done their best to make this also worth listening.
Like what is being in the other IR songs thread, someone else can write couple of lines about these songs if you couldn't cover this.

As you're aware, to define whether a song was / is hit or not is not totally an objective phenomenon.

Some are overwhelmingly popular and unquestionably hits (mAnguyilE, for e.g.)

For other songs, my criteria is "I should have heard this involuntarily (bus / teakkadai / radio etc) " to include in this compilation :-) Unfortunately, during late-80's / 90's, I could have missed listening to songs that were hits in TN. We'll request people familiar with those numbers to chip in the details later on :-)

Why does it always happen to Rajini films? :twisted: App_e, you hosted a host of mokkai blade songs from naanum oru thozhilaaLi for example..

Adi vanmathi was a blockbuster. Really a romantic song! I liked "iru vizhiyin " more though :)
