The movie will be directed by Rajini's daughter Soundarya Ashwin, who has earlier made animated ‘Sultan’ with her father. KS Ravikumar, who is the director of ‘Rana’, has written the story, screenplay, dialogue for the movie. He will also be the supervising director of the film.
The movie is being produced by Eros International and Media One Global Entertainment Limited.
The makers are planning to release this movie in August 2012.
However, Rajinikanth's delayed project Rana will restart the shooting after the completion of Kochadaiyaan. Other details are under wraps.

CR, Kamal and Rajini never worked to build fan base. Remember in, Baasha was it?, he said, "Ithu thAnA vantha koottam", it applies to both and their predecessors.
My view was related to their accessibility on the whole, not particular to Twitter... Amitji was a superstar 2 /3 decades ago.. we need to compare the Amitabh of 80's with R & K.. My point is that the fan base and image of Bollywood stars are increasing because of their accessibility. I do accept that R & K does not require to keep their star status..Quote:

That's what we are saying - you are not going to add to fan base but you are going to keep yourself in news and visible - which lesser stars likie Amitji, Salman etc need. R/K already have that visibility without even trying. A Salman who makes some oddball twitter comments is going to be featured more in Hindi news channels than a Salman who keeps to himself. This is not true of R/K. They'll be in news anyway.
