ur wrong..many actresses like to dub in their own voice but directors prefer sweet voices..so they end up getting the services of dubbing artistes..Dubbing artistes-kum business venum-le :) For example sneha..she speaks good tamil but she seldom dubs for herselfQuote:

On the other hand, Trisha's voice is not so bad. So why doesn't she dub unless she's compelled to? To say that directors only want sweet voice is definitely wrong. They generally want someone who can speak decent Tamil and most actresses can speak decent Tamil. It's just that they don't want to go through the hassle of dubbing and getting no extra payment for it.
On the other hand, heroes generally insist in dubbing for themselves. The reason? Simple- they are the hero of the film, they have a greater role to play and they have a bigger burden to carry throughout the film. Dubbing in their voice, no matter how bad they sound like, is just going to be another trademark for them. That's the reason why you have actors like Arya, Jayam Ravi, Ravi Krishna etc who have bad voices and still being allowed to dub.
Credit goes to Ameer,Vasanthabalan and Bala for that..Priyamani didnt use her voice for her first few films..Even Anjali uses her voice on and off..not for all the films that she have acted..So i guess its in the director's hands to decide on this..Tamanna has mentioned many times she tried dubbing for her films but was not approved by her directors..Have u wondered what will dubbing artists do when all actresses decide to use their own voice? :)Quote:

Dhanush missed going for the world cup finals at Mumbai, as he had to be in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, for Venghai song shoot.
Remember the actor and his wife Aishwarya went for the exciting semi-final's against Pakistan at Mohali?
The Venghai song shoot commitment was made a few weeks back, so he could not postpone it as all arrangements were made in advance.
Dhanush was shooting the song along with Tamannaah, who plays a village girl in the film.
Venghai is an action packed family entertainer directed by Hari, with music by Devi Sri Prasad. In all Hari movies there will be a dream song of the hero and heroine singing a fast number in a foreign location.
Hari's Singam song 'En Idhayam' tuned by DSP and picturised on Suriya and Anushka was a super hit.
Now Venghai's foreign song being shot in KL on Dhanush and Tammu is sure going to rock to the peppy tune set by DSP. The song is being choreographed by Brinda.
Dhanush will be back in Chennai by Thursday evening. He has already tweeted that he will be watching his eagerly awaited Maapillai with fans at Albert Theatre on Friday (April 8) noon show.
