Though Drishyum was Mollywood's biggest hit and notwithstanding the fact that the movie ran so well in Chennai, Sathyam cinemas, it still will have a substantial reach for the tamil remake IMHO. The movie would be a new viewing experience for most here, unlike let's say a 3 Idiots/Nanban. 3 Idiots, was so popular those days, that it became a matter of pride to watch and discuss the movie among your peers. Even if you had to miss the movie, you would have atleast heard about the storyline/Amir's performance, etc., Then there was this Chetan Bagat angle for you to learn/know about the movie.
Drishyam despite Mohanlal, i guess was not a 'never-miss-at-any-cost' movie outta here. Now that we have Ulaganayagan faring in a rural avatar after a loong time (last was Virumandi?), now it gets into the list of 'never-miss-at-any-cost' :), i guess.
Only reservation is Gowthami, who is making a comeback after a long time plus here illness which has taken the sheen out of her.
Not sure why they are releasing so many stills....Is this movie going to release first ahead of the other 2? I think we have more stills on this one compared to the VR2 and UV combined. Outside production....there is a big difference in how they handle things.

ஆர்யா தம்பி நடித்த முதல் படம் படித்துறை. இந்த படத்தை இயக்கியவர் சுகா. அடிப்படையில் மிக சிறந்த எழுத்தாளர் இவர். அது மட்டுமல்ல, பிரபல கவிஞரும் பேச்சாளரும் காங்கிரஸ் கட்சியின் மூத்த உறுப்பினர்களில் ஒருவருமான நெல்லை கண்ணனின் புதல்வர்.
இவர்தான் இப்போது கமலுக்கு டீச்சர்! எதுக்குப்பா எதுக்கு…?
