This is a very good example of match-up issues for Federer against Nadal. Against Federer is by far the best performance of Nadal in that tournament because he could not top his group as james blake topped Nadal's group but lost to Federer in easy three sets in the final. But Federer faced the biggest challenge from Nadal in the whole tournament.
Tamil,
I think Roger's biggest challenge in that tournament was from Roddick in the RR stage. Roddick took the first set 6-4.
Was up a break in the 2nd, only to be broken back by Roger. Again in the tie-breaker Roddick was up a mini-break & could have served for the match. However Roger pulled it up with a 10-8. He then took the decider 6-4.
I like particularly like his SF match with Nadal as I thought both played a great match.
My biggest problem with federer-nadal matchup was federer hardly allowed to play his forehand.
Nadal, what a great sportsman. He's happy for Federer after the match.
