Last day of shoot fr shanitabh to night, Will be starting mani film from October 6. I am walking the path with the force which guides me.

Mani Ratnam is all set to start his new Tamil film from October 6. His last film was the Gautham Karthik-Thulasi Nair starrer Kadal (2013), which was a total washout.

The new untitled Tamil film will have Dulquer Salmaan as hero and most likely a new face as heroine. It will have music by AR Rahman and camera by PC Sreeram. The film will be produced by Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies.


Mani and PC are coming together after 14 years. The last film they did together is Madhavan-Shalini starrer Alaipayuthey (2000), which was a huge hit. PC Sreeram Tweeted: “Last day of shoot for Shamitabh tonight, will be starting Mani film from October 6. I am walking the path with the force which guides me.”

Expected something big from Mani saar.. And what happened to his taste for heroes? Mani is known for introducing some of the most good looking men in tamil cinema..now Gautham/dulquer
