sm maddy : ya "Merchant of Venice" is a good play . You can also try reading "Taming Of the Shrew", "Much Ado About Nothing", "Romeo and Juliet" among others.

I feel that " As You Like It " is also a fantastic play . Its kind of comedy and funny too . My favourite character was Rosalind - The daughter of the banished duke.
