Shocking news. Completely unexpected. She was not too old. RIP Jeeva madam. An irreplaceable loss for the Maestro, King of Music, Ilayaraja.

I am still unable to come to grip with the situation. Unbelievable - As only last week (On Diwali day), I had the chance of meeting her at Raaja's house at Lower Camp near Pannaipuram (the very place where she will be cremated today). A very simple, down-to-earth personality. Very unfortunate that my first meeting with her became the last....

ஒட்டுமொத்த விகடன் தளத்திலும் தேடிப்பார்த்தும், ராஜா மனைவி தவறிய செய்தி ஒரு இடத்திலும் இல்லை. என்ன காரணம்?!? எனினும், மக்களே இதை எல்லாம் நோட் செய்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.

இசைஞானி இளையராஜாவின் மனைவி ஜீவா கடும் மாரடைப்பால் நேற்று இரவு மரணமடைந்தார். அவருக்கு வயது 60.

எதிர்பாராத விபத்து/நிகழ்வு போல தெரியல ஜீவாவின் மரணம். இப்போ இருக்கிற மருத்துவ வசதிகளை பயன்படுத்தி (செல்வந்தர்களாக இருக்கும் பட்சத்தில்) தொடர்ந்து உடல் நிலையை பரிசோதித்துக் கொண்டு வந்திருந்தால் இதுபோன்ற திடீர் நெஞ்சு வலிகளையெல்லாம் தவிர்த்திருக்கலாம். உயிரையே பறிக்கும் அளவிற்கு கொண்டு சென்றது ஒருவிதத்தில் உடல் நலம் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வு இல்லாமையா?

இதயக்கோயில் படத்தில் ''இதயம் ஒரு கோயில்..அதில் உதயம் ஒரு பாடல்..இதில் வாழும் தேவி நீ..இசையை மலராய் நாளும் சூட்டுவேன்''...என்ற பாடலில் ''எனது 'ஜீவன்' நீயடி..என்றும் புதிது'', ''என் பாடலின் 'ஜீவன்'..எதுவோ அது நீயே..நீயும் நானும் ஒன்று தான்..எங்கே பிரிவது'' - என்ற வரிகளை என் மனைவி 'ஜீவா'வை மனதில் வைத்துத்தான் எழுதினேன். இந்த பாடல் என் திரை பயணத்தில் நான் எழுதிய முதல் பாடல் - இசைஞானி இளையராஜா!

தொடர்ந்து உடல் நிலையை பரிசோதித்துக் கொண்டு வந்திருந்தால் இதுபோன்ற திடீர் நெஞ்சு வலிகளையெல்லாம் தவிர்த்திருக்கலாம். உயிரையே பறிக்கும் அளவிற்கு கொண்டு சென்றது ஒருவிதத்தில் உடல் நலம் பற்றிய விழிப்புணர்வு இல்லாமையா?

I read somewhere that she had bye-pass 5 years back. This is possibly a recurrence.

I don't think it was a case of negligence, death is unavoidable in spite of treatment / precaution etc. (Steve Jobs, with all his wealth & knowledge, could not survive to see his 60s)

A very basic fact : No one can see what's happening inside the skin

A very complex (possibly the most complex in the physical universe) system is covered by thOl (apart from the variety of membranes inside, like the one around the cell) and even the most sophisticated equipment cannot identify everything that's happening inside.

Assuming such an equipment is available, even then, no one can be under 24 x 7 surveillance under such equipment

Finally, even granting that (such an equipment / round-the-clock observation given), death cannot be stopped / avoided

Miserable situation.

Like I mentioned in the post on 'udhaya geetham pAduvEn', all humans are running / walking / crawling to death, which is an eventuality.

I think it's worthwhile to consider in our hearts, on such occasions as the death of a loved one (in our case Maestro's wife now), where we are with our lives and how we can use the (unknown) balance time for the better.

(Sorry for the preachy tone, I'm just telling myself)
